Journal Collections Given Away

    The collections are:

    • Scientific American 1961-2001 (a few issues missing)

    • American Journal of Physics 1959-1989

    • Amer J. Phys 1959-63

    • The Physics Teacher 1999-2002

All journals are boxed and in very good condition, having been kept in the dark in a cool dry basement. The collections are free to academic or equivalent libraries, which will place them in their own collections. They are not to be sold, traded or passed to another recipient.

The last collection listed may also be claimed by a member of AAPT who has joined in 2003, under similar limitations.

Transportation is up to the recipient. The arrangement I would prefer is for the journals to be picked up at my home in Greenbelt, Maryland, using a van of the type rented for moving one's own belongings. Each year of Scientific American weighs around 11-12 pounds, Amer. J. Phys. about 7 pounds, making for a fairly heavy load
